Summary
The former De Valera Library in Ennis could become the centrepiece of a new cultural quarter under plans now being explored by Clare County Council. The proposal follows a motion from Clarecastle Fianna Fáil Councillor Tom O'Callaghan, who called for unused council-owned buildings to be repurposed as creative workshop spaces for artists and makers. The council says it's developing preliminary plans for the site, with artist studios among the options being considered.
