Summary
It's hoped a showcase of local companies at the Amgen Irish Open will provide a welcome boost to west Clare business. A number of local businesses are showcased in the Clare County Council marquee in the championship village, ranging from art and designer knitwear to artisan foods. The crowds descending on Doonbeg are expected to increase from today, with approximately 100,000 people to visit the area this week. Director of Services for Transportation, Climate Action, Environmental and Emergency Services, and the West Clare Municipal District, Dr Carmel Kirby, says the exposure businesses will get this week will be invaluable.
