Summary
Keeping workers safe around moving machinery is one of the biggest challenges facing the construction industry. An all-island People-Plant-Safe Separation Campaign is underway, following 25 construction-related deaths involving plant, machinery or vehicles between 2016 and 2025. Joining Alan Morrissey to discuss the campaign, the risks on construction sites and what can be done to prevent serious accidents was Joanne Treacy, Southern Regional Director of the Construction Industry Federation.
