Summary
Heart disease can happen to anyone — and sometimes at an age when you least expect it. On Wednesday's Morning Focus, Alan Morrissey was focusing on heart health and the Irish Heart Foundation's ‘Love Your Heart’ campaign, which is encouraging people to take small steps to reduce their risk of heart disease and stroke. Joining Alan Morrissey were Ben Sweeney, who suffered a heart attack at just 29 and subsequently required a quadruple bypass, and Ardnacrusha Fianna Fáil councillor Rachel Hartigan, Ben's partner, who has been campaigning for greater awareness of cardiovascular disease and a national strategy on heart health.
