Summary
Family Carers Ireland is calling for carers' payments to rise to 325-euro a week. The organisation says an increase is needed in October's budget, to reflect the real cost of providing full-time care to a loved one at home. As part of its pre-budget submission, the group is also calling for the means test to be abolished.
