Summary
Two secret followers of Jesus — afraid their whole lives — finally stepped into the light at the foot of the Cross. Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus were powerful members of the Jewish council who believed in Jesus but kept it hidden out of fear. After Jesus died, something changed: Joseph boldly asked Pontius Pilate for Jesus's body, and together the two men wrapped Him in linen and spices and laid Him in Joseph's own tomb — the first public, costly act of faith either man had ever made.
