Summary
The Breath of Jesus is the Speech of the Church Genesis 11:1-9 Acts 2:1-21 John 20:19-23 May 24, 2026 Rev. Teer Hardy The church is not Babel with hymns, an organ, and a signup sheet. Nor are we here to make a name for ourselves. The church exists to proclaim the name of Jesus Christ, crucified, risen, and ascended. Living, present, and sending. Yes, we live in a world drowning in words. We are starving to be understood. We know what it is like to be scattered by fear, grief, pride, anxiety, and change. But Pentecost says that Babel does not get the last word. Jesus does. His word is peace. His gift is breath itself. His mission is mercy. His Spirit is loose. And by that Spirit, the breath of Christ becomes the speech of the church. Get full access to Brewing Theology with Teer Hardy at teerhardy.substack.com/subscribe
