Summary
They were the top of their class, high achievers with big dreams just on the horizon. But when COVID-19 puts a stop to their senior year, their summer, and maybe all of their plans, these five Bristol girls get mad. What did playing by the rules, doing everything "right," get them in the end? In Bristol, five girls known only by their nicknames—Crow, Wren, Starling, Goldie, and Cuckoo—are trapped at home by the pandemic, the end of their senior year shattered and no idea if the world will ever return to normal. As their anxiety and rage grow, the girls begin to sneak out in the night, breaking the strictly enforced government curfew. In these magical hours, what start as small rebellions grow more wild and reckless: getting drunk for the first time, breaking into abandoned homes, stalking the man that killed one of their mothers in a drunk driving accident...and by the end of this strange, suspended summer, more than one person will end up dead.
