Summary

In this podcast, I respond to the claim that we shouldn't want eternity. This video was inspired by an article written by a friend of mine from college, found here: https://medium.com/excommunications/y ... I hope this is helpful to you. The crux of my answer is this: in eternity, as we experience new vistas of God's beauty, it opens up new sensibilities and new tastes. That matches our present experiences of beauty right now, where experiences of beauty open up new vistas. And as we press ever onward into the beauty of things, and see more of the excess deep down in things, we will find ever more capacity to see and follow the call of that excess upward and inward into the life of God.
