One aspect of this basic spiritual teaching is that we materially exist in binary reality. Meaning a two thing condition. For example - of Sun / day / (male) and moon / night / female. And why don't we call our daughters our moons? Think about that. In William Walker Atkinson's text the Kybalion, which if you are interested in knowing things is worth a read, there is the principle of polarity - Which says "Everything is dual; everything has poles; everything has its pair of opposites; like and unlike are the same; opposites are identical in nature, but different in degree; extremes meet."
