Summary

Bro Newcastle have turned into my personal problem this week I swear šŸ˜‚ Day before yesterday was the worst. They beat me 3-1 and I was proper angry after. My defense was sleeping, midfield couldnā€™t hold the ball, and my attack was just missing everything. I kept shouting at my screen because every chance I created, they blocked or the keeper saved it. I logged off vexed and told myself I canā€™t let them do me like that twice. Yesterday I ran it back in the league and that one felt like sweet revenge. Same team, same competition, but I came in with a different mindset. Game was still tight from kickoff, no goals first half, just tackles and frustration. Then second half I switched things up and it worked. Beat them 2-1 and finally got one back. Felt good to break their hold on me, even if it was just by one goal. After that I thought okay, weā€™re even now, let me leave them alone. But today they gave me another match, this time an exhibition. Shouldā€™ve been easy but Newcastle donā€™t know how to make things easy for me. Whole first half I was struggling to score and it was annoying. Chances kept coming ā€” shots hitting the post, one-on-ones the keeper saved, crosses nobody was attacking. I was already thinking ā€œnot againā€ like day before yesterday. Then right before halftime Mbappe picked up the ball, linked up with De Bruyne, and that pass was clean. De Bruyne slid it through and Batistuta just slotted it in. 1-0 and that was it. Second half was just me defending, wasting time, trying to hold the lead. Easy win on the scoreline but trust me it didnā€™t feel easy while playing. 3 games vs Newcastle now: 3-1 loss, 2-1 win, 1-0 win. 2 wins 1 loss.
