Summary
So yesterday I ended up drawing 2nd position on the league table, but it was a league full of legends. The teams there are no joke, and honestly I wasn’t even set up right from the start. I messed up my lineup – I didn’t align my defenders properly with my keeper. They were all over the place, not on the same line, so every time the other team attacked it felt like free space for them. Because of that one mistake, I ended up conceding more goals across all 6 games than I normally do. It was weird because I hadn’t been losing like that before. But yesterday was different. From the first whistle I found myself just defending, defending, defending for over 30 minutes straight. It looked like I didn’t even come prepared to play, but deep down I knew exactly where the problem was – my positioning. Still, I had no choice but to play it out till the end and try to adjust on the fly. I was struggling the whole match, trying to fix things while under pressure. I know it sounds surprising, but at halftime I was already down 2:0. By full time it was 3:0. It really got to me. Losing like that, especially when I know it was avoidable if I had just set my team up right, is frustrating as hell 😭. But lesson learnt – against legends, you can’t afford to give them that kind of advantage. Thanks for visiting
