Summary

Anthony Graves spent eighteen years in prison, twelve of them on death row, for murders he did not commit. In 1992, a grandmother, her teen-aged daughter, and her four young grandchildren were all killed in their beds. Texas Rangers quickly zeroed in on Robert Carter, the father of the youngest victim. He admitted that he was at the crime scene, but said Anthony Graves committed the murders. "48 Hours" correspondent Richard Schlesinger reports. This classic "48 Hours" episode last aired on 3/17/2012. Watch all-new episodes of “48 Hours” on Saturdays and stream on demand on Paramount+.
