This is not for yamomanem, nor your wife, nor you baby girl. Yesterday was yesterday. Today is today. Yesterday was easy. Today is not. So, firm up your resoluteness. Gird up your loins. No whining allowed. Stop complaining. Effeminacy will not be tolerated. Put your purse down. Pick up a shovel and start digging. Rub some dirt on your wounds and get to work.","last_synced_at":"2026-06-06T08:18:23.460972+00:00","page_url":"https://stenobird.com/podcast/yesterday-was-easy-7030184"},"episode":{"title":"Don't Be A Boat Ducker","slug":"don-t-be-a-boat-ducker","published_at":"2026-03-18T22:30:48+00:00","page_url":"https://stenobird.com/podcast/yesterday-was-easy-7030184/don-t-be-a-boat-ducker","show_page_url":"https://stenobird.com/podcast/yesterday-was-easy-7030184","url":"https://yesterday-was-easy.simplecast.com/episodes/dont-be-a-boat-ducker-hItWsBbd","audio_url":"https://cdn.simplecast.com/media/audio/transcoded/71c13226-57fb-4a21-89ac-fe33f062e4aa/1e1b8b90-02c8-46b7-ad64-ad621cc79356/episodes/audio/group/6c50266e-7b79-4f67-8442-b9bca71c766a/group-item/e34391b5-b8b3-406f-9959-aa820b28a836/128_default_tc.mp3?aid=rss_feed&feed=e7x_tRpx","summary":"In this 32nd episode, Pastor Luke discusses a major no-no in the SEAL community: boat ducking. A major aspect of the SEAL training pipeline involves carrying or riding in a 13-foot rubber boat, known as an IBS, which stands for “Inflatable Boat, small.” Each boat is typically carried around by seven candidates of similar height, with the shortest group being labeled as the “Smurf Crew.” A boat ducker is someone who intentionally evades responsibility, by selfishly looking for the easy path, only considering self. In the SEAL community, which is built all around the concept of team, thinking only of self is the cardinal sin. Christ carried his burden perfectly and selflessly. He did not duck his boat. In order to pick up your cross and carry it, you must daily deny yourself. In other words, you must leave self at the foot of the cross. Every single day. No matter how difficult things get. Don’t be a boat ducker. Yesterday was easy!","meta_description":"In this 32nd episode, Pastor Luke discusses a major no-no in the SEAL community: boat ducking.
