Besecker and Williams challenge one of the biggest fears surrounding artificial intelligence: that AI will inevitably destroy American jobs. Instead, they argue AI could become a powerful productivity engine and job creator, fueling new businesses, investment and economic dynamism. That debate comes as AI stocks face a much tougher market. NVIDIA remains at the center of the AI investment boom—and just announced its nearly $13 billion acquisition of Hugging Face—but higher interest rates and enormous expectations are forcing investors to reconsider how much future growth is already priced into technology valuations.
