It's an emotionally rich, character-driven series about love and loss, and found family, and the lengths we'd go through to protect the people we care about. That's what's kept us coming back all these years. (And also we like zombies.) I’m Jason Cabassi. My cohost Karen and I started podcasting about The Walking Dead back in 2010. Along the way, I’ve appeared on the show a couple of times as a walker, hosted hundreds of Q&A panels with TWD actors at conventions across the U.S., and eventually teamed up with my current co-host, the witty and insightful Lucy Hinnie. Together—with some incredible guests—we’ve covered The Last of Us and every Walking Dead spinoff, from Fear to Dead City. Right now, we’re enjoying a rewatch of the original series—with the full story in mind—and diving into the moments that still hit hard. Past guests on the podcast include Andrew Lincoln (Rick), Danai Gurira (Michonne), Norman Reedus (Daryl), Steven Yeun (Glenn), Lauren Cohan (Maggie), Robert Kirkman, Angela Kang, Greg Nicotero, and many more. And the most fun and fulfilling part of all this has absolutely been interacting with you gu…","last_synced_at":"2026-07-19T00:17:02.969232+00:00","page_url":"https://stenobird.com/podcast/the-walking-dead-cast-533300"},"episode":{"title":"708: \"Last Day on Earth\" (TWD S6E16 Rewatch)","slug":"708-last-day-on-earth-twd-s6e16-rewatch","published_at":"2026-06-29T07:00:00+00:00","page_url":"https://stenobird.com/podcast/the-walking-dead-cast-533300/708-last-day-on-earth-twd-s6e16-rewatch","show_page_url":"https://stenobird.com/podcast/the-walking-dead-cast-533300","url":"https://www.podtrac.com/pts/redirect.mp3/pdst.fm/e/tracking.swap.fm/track/tcQd6Q6C0RUUlOHq1Ytj/mgln.ai/e/51/pscrb.fm/rss/p/traffic.megaphone.fm/TPG9976722840.mp3","audio_url":"https://www.podtrac.com/pts/redirect.mp3/pdst.fm/e/tracking.swap.fm/track/tcQd6Q6C0RUUlOHq1Ytj/mgln.ai/e/51/pscrb.fm/rss/p/traffic.megaphone.fm/TPG9976722840.mp3","summary":"Welp, it’s time. Here’s Negan! Such a polarizing character, and y’all know I have my gripes. But I absolutely can’t deny he brought a huge shot of adrenaline to this show. He’s a character I often find incredibly fun to watch, and also, in some ways, frustratingly problematic. I’m very glad to have Alex here—cohost of our Dead City coverage and a huge Negan fan—to go over this landmark episode, with maybe the most iconic scene in all of The Walking Dead. So buckle up. Whether you like it or not, it’s pee-pee pants city time. Mentioned Fantastic interview with Scott Gimple (video): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kc9KuGaSCAY Enjoying the rewatch?
