The Compulsory Education System of the Future The discussion in this podcast focuses on the recent episodes written with my father, Nissim Portal, where we examined the housing shortages during the early days of the State of Israel. We discussed the immediate solutions available and established temporary housing to bridge the gap until permanent homes were constructed. Going through this challenging period from my current perspective in life reveals the difficulties and sheds light on the decisions the leadership had to make. Many have criticized those decisions to this day. However, leaders are human. They make mistakes. The founding leadership was navigating uncharted territory and building a country for the first time. Most had no prior experience, only a powerful ideology and determination to create a homeland for the Jewish nation.
