Her parents relocated to Chicago, Illinois where she and her brother were raised on the westside of Chicago. Rev. Renece was eight years old when she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was about sixteen years old when she really understood what salvation was all about. As a youth and teenager, Rev. Renece was actively involved in the choir, Sunday school, and missionary ministry. She always had a deep desire to seek the Lord and to know Jesus for herself. Rev. Renece got married in 1987 to Howard Eric Weathersby, Sr. They were married for 23 years before the Lord called him home. Before Howard’s passing, they both faithfully served in children’s church. She eventually became the church director and served in that capacity for many years. Rev. Renece was called to preach the gospel in 2002. She was licensed on December 25, 2003, and received her Certificate of Ordination on January 25, 2009, at the Christ Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church of Austin in Chicago, Illinois.
