This first is Isotrema, previously known as aristolochia or pipe vine. The second is a fascinating plant called Lycium, Boxthorn or Goji Berry - the fruit of this one is amazing! We also discuss vision issues, weather radios and fake charities. Also, I am back on Youtube Please subscribe to my channel: @judsoncarroll5902 Judson Carroll - YouTube Tune of the week: Salty Dog Blues on guitar I show you how to play Salty Dog Blues. My version is based on several of the older blues and hokum versions of the song from the 1920s, but I like the Flatt and Scruggs version too, so I blended in several influences. I play it in the key of C, which is standard for the early blues versions. It follows the cycle of 5ths, but with a eat little twist that keeps it moving at a fun pace. Most of this is improvised on the spot, so it should give you some useful ideas. https://youtu.be/oRQEkSRNIzM Email: judson@judsoncarroll.com Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/southern-appalachian-herbs--4697544/support Read about The Spring Foraging Cookbook: https://southernappalachianherbs.blogspot.com/2024/01/the-spring-foraging-cookbook.html Available for purchase on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CRP63R54 Medicinal Weeds and Grasses of the American Southeast, an Herbalist's Guide https://southernappalachianherbs.blogspot.com/2023/05/medicinal-weeds-and-grasses-of-american.html Available in paperback on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C47LHTTH and Confirmation, an Autobiography of Faith https://southernappalachianherbs.blogspot.com/2023/05/confirmation-autobiography-of-faith.html Available in paperback on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C47Q1JNK Visit my Substack and sign up for my fre…","meta_description":"This week, we discuss the medicinal uses of two interesting plants.
