I officially canceled the whole thing and pulled my name off the lease, and the fallout was honestly better than I could have imagined. She called me screaming that I ruined her life and that she has nowhere to go now, but it felt like the ultimate ProRevenge to watch her realize she can't just use people like a human credit card. The look on her face when she realized she won't be moving in this weekend was the perfect ending to that toxic chapter of my life. It is truly wild how some people think they can just treat a former partner like a resource instead of a person.
