I also explore what children actually need in order to change. Rather than guidance, they need a therapeutic relationship, a therapeutic environment, and unconditional acceptance. In CCPT, we trust that children understand their struggles and possess an innate capacity to work through them. Our role is not to write the script, direct the action, or determine the path forward. Instead, we provide the stage and trust the child's process.
