To do that, we have worked around the world -- and off it -- for more than 50 years, searching for answers to fundamental questions about our place in the universe. We're exploring space and discovering Earth. Join us for this exciting and important journey.","last_synced_at":"2026-09-17T04:20:59.595655+00:00","page_url":"https://stenobird.com/podcast/nasa-on-odysee-7144875"},"episode":{"title":"Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope Launch","slug":"nancy-grace-roman-space-telescope-launch","published_at":"2026-08-20T19:42:51+00:00","page_url":"https://stenobird.com/podcast/nasa-on-odysee-7144875/nancy-grace-roman-space-telescope-launch","show_page_url":"https://stenobird.com/podcast/nasa-on-odysee-7144875","url":"https://odysee.com/nancy-grace-roman-space-telescope-launch:58b36aea949fcad2d0d8dc7af85de59706317918","audio_url":"https://odysee.com/$/rss/media/nancy-grace-roman-space-telescope-launch/58b36aea949fcad2d0d8dc7af85de59706317918/c695d2.mp4","summary":"Tune in to watch our newest orbiting observatory launch to space. Our Roman Space Telescope is scheduled to lift off at 7:26 a.m. EDT (1126 UTC) on a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket from Launch Complex 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Named after NASA’s first chief astronomer, the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope will have a deep, panoramic view of the cosmos, producing images over 100 times larger than our Hubble Space Telescope, but with the same crisp resolution. With its wide view and sophisticated host of tools, Roman will help us discover new exoplanets and untangle cosmic mysteries such as the nature of dark matter and dark energy. It will make its home in orbit 1 million miles away from Earth at the second Sun-Earth Lagrange point, where gravitational forces balance to keep objects in steady orbits with very little assistance.
