To do that, we have worked around the world -- and off it -- for more than 50 years, searching for answers to fundamental questions about our place in the universe. We're exploring space and discovering Earth. Join us for this exciting and important journey.","last_synced_at":"2026-09-17T04:20:59.595655+00:00","page_url":"https://stenobird.com/podcast/nasa-on-odysee-7144875"},"episode":{"title":"Artemis III: Our Next Step Back to the Moon","slug":"artemis-iii-our-next-step-back-to-the-moon","published_at":"2026-09-03T00:00:00+00:00","page_url":"https://stenobird.com/podcast/nasa-on-odysee-7144875/artemis-iii-our-next-step-back-to-the-moon","show_page_url":"https://stenobird.com/podcast/nasa-on-odysee-7144875","url":"https://odysee.com/artemis-iii-our-next-step-back-to-the:14d7fa82a37fe9af1c8d2ef8ffe6e3d7b3122cf0","audio_url":"https://odysee.com/$/rss/media/artemis-iii-our-next-step-back-to-the/14d7fa82a37fe9af1c8d2ef8ffe6e3d7b3122cf0/65f62d.mp4","summary":"In April 2026, we flew humans to the Moon for the first time in over 50 years during the Artemis II mission. But this mission was only the beginning. Soon after, the crew of Artemis III was announced: NASA astronauts Randy Bresnik, Andre Douglas, Frank Rubio, and ESA (European Space Agency) astronaut Luca Parmitano. Their mission will involve testing lunar lander systems in low Earth orbit. The astronauts of Artemis II passed the baton to the Artemis III crew, as they are our next step in sending humanity back to the Moon—this time, to stay. Under Artemis, NASA will send astronauts on increasingly difficult missions to explore more of the Moon for scientific discovery, economic benefits, and to build on our foundation for the first crewed missions to Mars.
