Around that time, I read a book about Moms in Prayer International, and it deeply resonated with me. Just days later, I saw a friend while shopping and to my surprise, she had read the same book! Right then and there we decided to start a Moms in Prayer group together. Through Moms in Prayer, I began—and continue—to learn how to surrender my fears and worries, letting God replace them with His peace and comfort. Now years later, meeting weekly with my Moms in Prayer group remains one of the most meaningful and powerful things I do as a mom. My husband and I live in Des Moines, Iowa. We’re blessed with a daughter, and a son and daughter-in-law, who also live nearby.
