Editing: Silvia Maglioni & Graeme Thomson Dr. Samah Jabr is a leading Palestinian psychiatrist, psychotherapist, writer, and public intellectual from Jerusalem. One of the first female psychiatrists in Palestine, she has dedicated her life to serving Palestinians, with a focus on treating individuals who are suffering from trauma and trauma-related stress—particularly those relating to chronic political violence, displacement, and imprisonment. Author of several books, Jabr regularly gives lectures and teaches about mental health. She continues to work as a psychiatrist throughout Palestine today. In 2025 she published the collection of essays \"Radiance in Pain and Resilience: the global reverberation of Palestinian historical trauma\".
