They’ve supported major acts including The Whitlams, Alex Lloyd, Kingswood and Ben Lee, and have featured in live sessions for ABC Radio. The release of Oh Beautiful in June 2025 marked the beginning of a new creative era for Val Moogz, launching a series of singles showcasing their evolving sound and growing depth as a songwriter. In October 2025, they released Ride Round the Sun, accompanied by live audio and video captured at Four Winds in Bermagui, NSW. The track was the first instalment in a four-part EP waterfall release and was launched alongside their Wanderer Festival performance. Earlier singles “Gypsy”, “The Sea” and “With You” have been supported by local radio and independent touring, including a 2022 Australian East Coast launch tour and North Coast runs in 2023 and 2024. Val Moogz began performing as a teenager in Sydney under their birth name, Hannah Matysek. A graduate of the Talent Development Project, they’ve recorded with Sony Music and shared stages with some of Australia’s most respected artists.
