I'll guide young artists through drawing prompts, telling stories and sharing history about the topics we draw. Kids are encouraged to use their imaginations and make decisions as they draw. One of the goals is to build self-confidence because we know there's no wrong way to do art! Hi, I’m your host, Aunt Dewey. I’m a former New York City kindergarten teacher. Now I work in tech teaching adults how to use various software, platforms, and programs. I started Imagination Draw Along because I think a low-stim, screen-free experience is good for kids and aspiring artists. We move slowly on purpose. I encourage listeners to make their own artistic choices as they follow along. It’s a light hearted show that helps build critical thinking skills by guiding the imagination through wonder. Episodes are 10-15 minutes long. New episodes will be available every Tuesday and Thursday. (I recently transitioned from Monday, Wednesday, and Friday). Thanks for drawing with me today!","last_synced_at":"2026-07-14T22:17:09.930422+00:00","page_url":"https://stenobird.com/podcast/imagination-draw-along-7682620"},"episode":{"title":"Let's draw a wedding scene","slug":"let-s-draw-a-wedding-scene","published_at":"2026-06-02T12:00:00+00:00","page_url":"https://stenobird.com/podcast/imagination-draw-along-7682620/let-s-draw-a-wedding-scene","show_page_url":"https://stenobird.com/podcast/imagination-draw-along-7682620","url":"https://rss.com/podcasts/imagination-draw-along/2867535","audio_url":"https://content.rss.com/episodes/370309/2867535/imagination-draw-along/2026_05_28_22_49_30_eb07c853-aa69-4920-bbb3-019cb7c5cf3d.mp3","summary":"Today I want to draw a wedding scene, inspired by the wedding I am going to this weekend. We'll draw a bride and a groom, and some flowers to decorate. Your artist choice will be draw clothes to make the bride and groom feel fancy on their special day. In my culture, brides usually wear white and grooms wear a suit and tie or bow tie. If you prefer to dress your happy couple in lehengas and sherwanis, or any other attire that comes to mind, I hope you will draw those instead. 🧠 Here are 3 ideas your imagination can wonder about based on our drawing: Why do people dress fancy for weddings? Everyone’s culture or families have their own version of being dressed up-- how does your culture or family like to dress up? Why do you think your bride and groom you drew love each other so much? Imagination Draw Along is an intentionally low stimulation show that gives artists space to develop confidence in decision making-- because there’s no wrong way to do art.
