One of the goals is to build self-confidence because we know there's no wrong way to do art! Hi, I’m your host, Aunt Dewey. I’m a former New York City kindergarten teacher. Now I work in tech teaching adults how to use various software, platforms, and programs. I started Imagination Draw Along because I think a low-stim, screen-free experience is good for kids and aspiring artists. We move slowly on purpose. I encourage listeners to make their own artistic choices as they follow along. It’s a light hearted show that helps build critical thinking skills by guiding the imagination through wonder. Episodes are 10-15 minutes long. New episodes will be available every Tuesday and Thursday. (I recently transitioned from Monday, Wednesday, and Friday). In this episode we'll try a technique of noticing which parts of the picture to draw first so that your cowboy looks like he's on top of his horse. Here are 3 ideas your imagination can wonder about based on our drawing today: If cow boys are riding horses, why are they called cow boys? Cowboys love their horses, do you think horses love their cowboys? If you be like a cowboy or cowgirl and could ride a horse anywhere, where would you go? What if your horse was invisible? Imagination Draw Along is an intentionally low stimulation show that gives artists space to develop confidence in decision making-- because there’s no wrong way to do art.
