I'll guide young artists through drawing prompts, telling stories and sharing history about the topics we draw. Kids are encouraged to use their imaginations and make decisions as they draw. One of the goals is to build self-confidence because we know there's no wrong way to do art! Hi, I’m your host, Aunt Dewey. I’m a former New York City kindergarten teacher. Now I work in tech teaching adults how to use various software, platforms, and programs. I started Imagination Draw Along because I think a low-stim, screen-free experience is good for kids and aspiring artists. We move slowly on purpose. I encourage listeners to make their own artistic choices as they follow along. It’s a light hearted show that helps build critical thinking skills by guiding the imagination through wonder. Episodes are 10-15 minutes long. New episodes will be available every Tuesday and Thursday. (I recently transitioned from Monday, Wednesday, and Friday). Thanks for drawing with me today!","last_synced_at":"2026-07-14T22:17:09.930422+00:00","page_url":"https://stenobird.com/podcast/imagination-draw-along-7682620"},"episode":{"title":"Let's draw a baseball player at bat","slug":"let-s-draw-a-baseball-player-at-bat","published_at":"2026-05-28T12:00:00+00:00","page_url":"https://stenobird.com/podcast/imagination-draw-along-7682620/let-s-draw-a-baseball-player-at-bat","show_page_url":"https://stenobird.com/podcast/imagination-draw-along-7682620","url":"https://rss.com/podcasts/imagination-draw-along/2860618","audio_url":"https://content.rss.com/episodes/370309/2860618/imagination-draw-along/2026_05_26_22_07_53_b6b4a78d-4187-4bc5-99a5-6b22604fbe2c.mp3","summary":"Today I want to draw a baseball player standing at home plate, holding his bat, ready to swing. You're in charge of designing his uniform and decorating his bat with your artist choices. We'll also draw the baseball coming his way! And the dugout, where he'll sit when it's not his turn to bat. Here are ideas your can wonder about based on our drawing today: Why do baseball players wear uniforms? How much practice does it take to be good at baseball or art? We talked about artist choices that only affect you or athletic choices that affect the people around you. Have you made an artist choice or athletic choice today? Imagination Draw Along is an intentionally low stimulation show that gives artists space to develop confidence in decision making-- because there’s no wrong way to do art.
