Alongside contemporaries Paul Oakenfold, Danny Rampling and Johnny Walker he helped introduce the Balearic sound and ethos to British audiences, playing a key role in the early days of acid house and the explosion of rave culture. Known for his eclectic taste and refusal to be boxed into one style, Holloway remains an important link between Ibiza’s formative years and the foundations of today’s global dance music scene.
