They also promote research essential to improving quality of life while advocating for social justice. Human factors guide the EDRA. Members are leaders in environment and behavior studies, evidence-based design, facility evaluation methods, sustainability, community planning, universal design, diversity in design, workplace design and informatics, design education, and digital technologies. Together they advance and publicize environmental design research, which facilitates a stronger general understanding of the relationship between people, their built environment, and natural ecosystems.
