His first release was under the moniker of Aruba on a Swedish label called Clear Blu in 2000. A remix quickly followed on the Headphoniq label in Chicago. Here his remix featured in 'This is House Music!', a vinyl only compilation also featuring tracks by Ron Trent, Boo Williams, Roy Davis Jnr., and Glenn Underground. Great company for a beginner. Another remix quickly followed on Toko recordings in Sheffield and another for Chicago native Daniell Spencer's 'Deep Freak' for the Brique Rouge label out of Paris, run by David Duriez and Llorca. In 2002 Darran released the seminal 'How Low Can You Go?' on Germany's Exun label and this track has stayed in record boxes ever since with a bassline, as one Discog's user aptly wrote...\"one of the best basslines...it presses on the chest' :). Darran runs a label called Elevation out of Galway and has collaborated with artists like Rampa, Re.You, Kink, Pablo Fierro, Fresh & Low etc., over the last two decades.
