I decided I needed the first break of my lifetime, and I took a leave from my job .... and started a podcast. It started as a platform to share my story with Bipolar Disorder.... and then started turning into journal-style recordings of many experiences from my past, not only to do with my mental illness, but including so many other things with a lot of laughter and tears as I have been told my story-telling is beyond compare. Up until a few weeks ago, the podcast was going in one direction ... well, actually, numerous directions... but I thought I knew exactly where I was and where I would end up. Turns out.... after a bipolar depressive crash in early June .... I realized the entire podcast up until then ... was recorded in something called a \"Quiet Hypomanic\" episode of Bipolar Disorder. I was shocked, embarrassed, mortified ... and I almost deleted this entire thing, I could not even stomach the idea of listening back to even ONE episode .... But... Here I am. The dust has settled a bit .... (Don't just LISTEN) ... I had a horrible experience with a psychiatrist ... but it was also a psychiatrist that SAVED MY LIFE (more than once). So, of course there are such things as bad doctors and therapists ... but always remember if you are uneasy about a doctor ... or what they are telling you ... ALWAYS get second opinion. NEVER settle when it comes to your HEALTH. I think there are a lot of really good takeaways in this one ....
