Me and my group of friends, we’ve been together for like 7 to 8 years now since secondary school, so anytime we link up it feels like no time has passed. We picked this outdoor spot with artificial green grass, black wicker chairs and glass tables under a covered area. The sun was hitting nicely, casting long shadows across the grass, and there was a bit of breeze too. Hanging plants were on the pillars and the fence around had that decorative pattern. In the background you could hear faint music and people talking at other tables, but our corner was ours. We just sat down, ordered some drinks, and let the gist flow naturally. What made it sweet was how comfortable everybody was. Nobody was on phone too much, nobody was rushing. We were just sipping our drinks, laughing, and dragging each other like we used to back then. I remember saying how I used to be class prefect and everyone started shouting \"ah you and your prefect wahala\". They were reminding me how I’d be the one to go and report people to teachers, and how teachers would always call me first anytime they needed help. I told them how some teachers would even confide in me like \"help me mark this\" or \"tell the class to keep quiet\". We laughed about it because back then it felt like a big deal, but now it’s just funny stories we use to roast each other. Then the conversation shifted to school generally and we started going down memory lane.
