Recipes below Betty Carter 1 1/2 oz Bourbon 3/4 oz Sweet Sherry (Pedro Ximenez) 1/2 oz Amaro Nonino 3/4 oz Lemon Juice Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled coupe glass. Some Days are Diamonds (Some Days are Stones) 2 oz brandy 2-4 oz Lemon-Lime soda (Shasta Twist for that local flavor!) 1/2 oz dark rum Add brandy to an empty highball glass. Add ice nearly to the top. Top gently with the lemon-lime soda and then float the rum on top. Do not stir! Let this cocktail evolve as you drink it.
