All life on Earth depends on photosynthesis (except deep ocean hot vents) Ecosystems require an energy input, complex interacting webs, plants, animals, insects, bacteria, fungi, viruses I would prefer ‘scientists’ not to mess about with my food and oxygen supply I am concerned about unexpected effects, butterfly effects, chaos effects, runaway effects. Biodiversity Accountability? Let’s plant trees, promote plant / animal ecology, farm seaweed and marine phytoplankton.
