It does not say weeping will never come. It says weeping endures for a night — one night, not forever. David had been prosperous and thought himself unmovable, and then God hid his face and everything crumbled. But the crumbling was not the end. The end was dancing. \"Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness.\" Notice that God does not merely remove the sackcloth — he replaces it with something. The closet is never left empty.
