Her latest book, American Expat: Moving Abroad Solo After 60 , chronicles her move to Portugal. It's a candid, often funny boots-on-the-ground travel memoir that shows how she navigated all the "firsts" of a new life. "In short, this isn’t Eat, Pray, Love. It’s Move, Panic, Adapt," Barbara quips.
