They talk about tools and techniques for feeling and healing their own adult wounds in order to show up and parent more whole-heartedly and respectfully. But don’t worry - they start off way lighter and first talk about the most important concerns of the 1980’s which were apparently the ozone layer, protecting text books by covering them with paper bags, and Aspartame. They also go on for way too long about which file folders should be which colors for various school subjects. Tangents abound today! They go on to share intimately about some recent experiences with their eight-year old son Bradshaw and navigating his emotions without shaming his personal experience. They also talk about the importance of giving children the opportunity to navigate through difficulties in order to build their own sense of resiliency and strength.
