Beginning with a small record store on Santa Monica Boulevard, Richard and his partner Harold Bronson built Rhino into a globally respected brand known for preserving, restoring, and reintroducing forgotten and out-of-print music to new generations of listeners. The success of Rhino helped establish what many now call reissue culture —a model that transformed entertainment economics by demonstrating the long-term value of existing catalogs.
