Joseph and his wife Kendra each face four counts of endangering the welfare of a minor and four counts of false imprisonment. A generation earlier, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar put the same locks on their daughters’ doors after their son Josh confessed to harming his sisters. They called them safeguards.
