Shavaun starts with the diagnosis problem — providers allegedly logged intrusive thoughts at the same time Lindsay was reportedly describing a commanding voice telling her to harm her kids, two clinically distinct phenomena that got blurred together. It wasn't until after the killings that a forensic evaluation confirmed Bipolar I, a diagnosis her providers had weighed but never settled on. From there, the prescribing history: thirteen medications across four months, five different providers, and — according to the lawsuit — no coordinated review of any of it. Patrick Clancy told providers his wife was ten thousand times worse on Seroquel. They increased the dose. She called a suicide hotline and was screened out. She waited three days at McLean Hospital before seeing a doctor. Shavaun weighs in on how much of this was preventable, what a properly coordinated psychiatric team would have caught, and where the line falls between individual error and structural failure.
