But in 1981, he began his production career working on an album for L.A. local legends, Top Jimmy & The Rhythm Pigs. The album, Pigus Drunkus Maximus , was initially released on the vanity label of another L.A. legend, Steve Wynn, before practically vanishing into the mists of L.A. musical history. This year, the album received a deluxe remastered reissue, with liner notes by Chris Morris, and archival photography by Gary Leonard . Steve tells us the legend of Top Jimmy, and shares some exciting Los Lobos news. And Paul (always the Canadian) asks him about producing The Tragically Hip. The Record Store Day Podcast is a weekly music chat show written, produced, engineered , and hosted by Paul Myers , who also composed the theme music and selected interstitial music. Executive Producers (for Record Store Day) Michael Kurtz and Carrie Colliton . RECORD STORE DAY IS APRIL 18th.
