One of the strangest “turns” in all of scripture happens in Ephesians 6. In a move that is so incredibly counter-intuitive, the Apostle Paul tells us that we are in a fight that no Christian can claim exemption from, and this fight is for the souls of mankind, so we’d better suit up and get spiritually prepared for the fight; but, what he prescribes after all of that is not what any War General would ever suggest.
