Behrooz Ghamari is an Iranian-born American historian, sociologist, & professor, known for his work on the Iranian revolution & its aftermath. He is a fellow at the Center for Place, Culture, & Politics at the CUNY Graduate Center & is affiliated w/ the Institute of Iranian Studies at the University of Toronto. Formerly, he was Professor & Chair of the Department of Near Eastern Studies & Director of the Center for Iran & Persian Gulf Studies at Princeton University. He is the author of four books on different aspects & historical context of the Iranian revolution of 1979 & its aftermath: "Islam & Dissent in Post-Revolutionary Iran"; "Foucault in Iran: Islamic Revolution after the Enlightenment"; "Remembering Akbar: Inside the Iranian Revolution," & most recently "The Long War on Iran: New Events, Old Questions." Ajamu Baraka is a geopolitical analyst, organizer, writer, human rights defender, & veteran of the U.S. Black Liberation Movement. Baraka is the founder of the Black Alliance for Peace (BAP) & currently serves as the director of BAP’s North-South Project for People(s)-Centered Human Rights.
