In this week’s video podcast we take a look back at the major themes we highlighted at the start of this year in a written post on January 11, 2025 ( here ). The 3 major topic areas were (1) energy scenario normalization; (2) power; and (3) how we thought about various energy sources and technologies. We had also teased several sub-themes about crude oil, China, M&A, and US/Canada policy. With nearly a year’s hindsight, we did decently well on the three major topic areas, but left a lot to be desired on the four bonus topics.
