## Resource

The New Jersey Devils are staring down the barrel of a make-or-break season, and two players—Dawson Mercer and Jake Allen—are under the brightest lights. Mercer’s future hangs in the balance as he’s pushed to the bottom six after the arrival of high-scoring Luke Evangelista, all while playing his final year under contract. Meanwhile, Allen, long behind Jacob Markstrom, now wears the starting goalie gloves—and must prove he’s worth his five-year extension amid stiff competition from Nico Daws and David Rittich. With playoff pressure mounting and a Stanley Cup dream on the line, both men have one shot to deliver for a team desperate to claw back into contention.
