## Resource

Canadiens shock fans by signing Chris Kreider — the 35-year-old scorer with 39 goals last season and a controversial 2014 playoff collision with Carey Price. While his one-year deal is low-risk, it raises eyebrows: Kreider doesn’t fill Montreal’s glaring center void, could sideline prospects, and faces backlash from fans still bitter over that past clash. But Kreider’s move signals belief in the Habs’ current window to win — a bold gamble with high stakes for both player and team.
