## Resource

Could Chris Kreider, Montreal’s longtime polarizing figure, be the unexpected piece that helps the Canadiens contend? After his infamous 2014 playoff collision with Carey Price — a moment still seared into Habs lore — Kreider’s return would stir controversy, but also offer veteran scoring depth, size, and net-front presence. With young stars like Suzuki and Caufield leading the charge, Kreider wouldn’t be the savior — but could fill a crucial role. The real question: can Montreal acquire him without sacrificing future assets, and would he even want to play in a city that’s never forgotten his past? If he’s hungry for another Cup run and sees Montreal as a viable Eastern Conference contender, maybe the boos will fade once the wins start rolling.
