## Resource

Seattle Kraken lock in young forward Jacob Melanson with a three-year, $4.35M deal — a bold bet on his upside after a breakout AHL season and solid NHL debut. Drafted in 2021, the 23-year-old’s physical play and scoring touch (9G, 19P in 28 AHL games) earned him a full-time shot with the big club. With room to grow and a clear role in the bottom six, Melanson’s contract signals the Kraken’s confidence in his future — and his time to prove he belongs.
